My early morning balcony view over eastern Marseille. My choice of words to describe what I am seeing is important. A mixture of pale blue skies and grey clouds. The sun’s rise has led to the magnificent glow of light over the distant massifs. The city is waking up and the lights shining through the darkness of the night, emit a similar effect.

A new day viewed from my balcony. No neighbours are up just yet. I have captured the quiet moment in the morning. The sun is rising in the east and as such, the clouds take on a meaningful grey, white and peach colour. The distant horizon and city buildings are coming out of the darkness of the night.
