An attractive male character who flirts with the player or is heavily infatuated with them would probably make the typical male demographic uncomfortable, which is a risk the devs dont ever want to take since theyre used to pandering towards them

The female demographic is always overlooked, and tropes that may appeal to them are never used or just made fun of in a parody like way

Ultimately female character being horny for the self insert is super common in gacha games so im not surprised

An interesting criticism i read is that feh underutilizes sharena as a main character despite employing multiple female characters as main heroines in their books...
I think its just goes to show which target audience they are aiming for
