That said, I'm not quite sure how or why you're making a connection between Harris losing and the genocide in Sudan.

(I'm not saying there isn't a direct link, so much as I don't know what that link is, and as such I don't understand why you brought it up.)

She lost in part on lack of time, and a poor campaign that just didn't motivate enough people to go vote for her, and plenty of people her loss coming, and begged her to make changes.

She chose not to, even while knowing that her opponent was a dangerous fascist who'd try to ruin the country.

I couldn't vote for Harris as I'm not in the US. If I lived there, I would have.

But how I would have voted isn't what I was talking about.

Plenty of people saw that Harris would lose based on her campaign, and she chose to maintain course. Plus, many people didn't even know she was running.

I try to keep up with the news, but fail to track it all. Plus, the genocide in Sudan isn't covered by media anywhere near as much as it should be. I fully admit that I don't feel informed about it enough to say much about it with any confidence, save that I think it's also very bad and should stop.

I'm not 100% sure what you're trying to say here, but yeah, of course there's fascism in the United States? And yes, of course, a big part of that problem stems from white people and white supremacy.

I mean, immediately after the election there was a huge spike in people checking Google to figure out why Biden wasn't on the ticket, even.

She admittedly had limited time to build herself up, but that also could have been avoided had Dems not clung to Biden's ass for so long.

If she'd wanted to win, she should have run a campaign that would get more people to vote for her. I don't know how to break it it to you, but a big part of a politician's job is to capture people's imaginations enough so they they want to vote for that person.

She failed at that part of her job.

She wasn't elected. She lost though, in part because she declared that if she DID win, that the US would continue to provide weapons to Israel.

And as we saw, Israel used weapons from the US and others to bomb thousands of kids.

She wanted to continue to provide weapons and money Israel's continuing genocide, and people didn't like that. People told her they didn't like that, and she didn't change her mind.

And she lost.

Was a combination of racism and misogyny partly to blame for her loss? Sure. But with the decisions she was making and the positions she was taking, she sure didn't look like a candidate that was serious about trying to take an election away from a fascist, either.

I mean, plenty of people were condemning Sanders for going on Rogan's podcast, ffs. Not too much of a stretch to think that they'd be livid about him making pals with Cheney. And rightfully so on both counts, as Rogan and Cheney are both trash.

Harris also got behind a very unpopular genocide.
