i still like this show. i do. but my god, do i agree with the whole "it should've been one season" sentiment. or, at the very least, season one is still by far the best.

The Upside-Down used to be this terrifying, inexplicable place. It was scary. Now it's just... a place. (I only just finished the episode where Dustin says its wormhole, but I'm moreso speaking of seasons 4 and 5 in gen.

I'm not done watching the fifth season yet, but I'm definitely feeling that. Last night I said to my sister, who I'm watching it with, that the show was a lot better before they started explaining every little mystery.

I like these shows a lot. I'm not super obsessed or anything, but I generally just love to stay caught tuned for new episodes. But the general... reception, the show has? It makes me kind of embarrassed to admit that sometimes. Flawed shows, but I adore the worldbuilding and art design.

I wish I had any capabilities to make fangames or romhacks, because it's fun to think about this kind of stuff. Maybe I just want OVA Knuckles' hat in a game and Fang playable in a 2D Sonic. With some sort of new moveset that can make him viable in a 2D Sonic (or Knuckles) level

I don't know how people feel about Knuckles' oft-forgotten "treasure hunter" motif, but I think something akin to the OVA Knuckles is pretty comparable to Fang, isn't he? Treasure hunters who wear hats.

My game idea is a S3&K type deal, you'd play as Fang, too.

i have a dumb idea for a 2D Sonic fangame.

you'd play as Knuckles, with his OVA hat, and race to the end of levels to find Master Emerald shards. or something. (like traditional sonic, not Knuckles' Emerald Hunt, as great as that hack is)

It could definitely just be that I suck though, lol. I grew up with SA2:B, but I only got my hands on SA1 about a year or two ago. So it could just be that I'm used to SA2's slightly differebt controls, whilst SA1's throw me for a loop. I don't know!

I rewatch the Cybershell video on the matter of SA ports at least once a year haha (i don't know why but the topic of the models and lighting really fascinates me!) so I definitely knew about how each port is worse than the last, which is why I'm wondering if maybe its just the 360 controls or smth
