Just naked racism from Farage and the Mail.

Only British and commonwealth citizens are allowed to vote. It's not 'stealing' to legally take part in your own country's elections

You know what’s not mentioned enough? When Mike Johnson said Trump was in the Epstein files so much because he was an FBI informant - and he has never mentioned it again because the lie was so monumentally stupid that it effectively proved they’re all wrapped up in it.

It’s taken one by-election for Reform and the entirety of the UK’s right-wing media to soil themselves epically in public. Quite the spectacle.
Once again, it’s rhetoric that is commonplace on X but is utterly batshit elsewhere.

Nobody here needs to be told that Reform's claims of cheating are utterly absurd but it's worth noting that the anti-Reform vote was so large that even if the Greens and Labour had split it 50/50 Reform would still have lost β€” in fact they would have come third. They only value democracy if they win

I always find that, when people don’t like me, whining like a toddler about how they’re unfair always wins them round!

Ah, rats! I *did* predict this but couldn’t voice it out of a fear of being too optimistic!

Reform's response could not have been more Trumpian. A complete lack of dignity, grace and humility, blended with baseless whining about "cheating" and vague claims about "Islamist" and "woke" voters. Even Stephen Hawking could not have envisaged the lengths to which they can fuck off.

27.02.2026 07:09 β€” πŸ‘ 17    πŸ” 3    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

~70% of people fucking hating Reform is going to be classified as β€œcheating” for years to come. Their ungracious whining is sure to win over voters!

I tentatively/optimistically agree but also, don’t populists have to make populist statements/policies?
Waging war on work-life balance, punishing childless women and a UK ICE are all hugely unpopular and can only have been conceived in a toxic X bubble. As X loses influence, so will the populists.

'Sectarian voting and cheating'.

Britain's Trump.

Great thread.

I just don’t see how β€œrestoring Britain’s Christian heritage” is a vote winner with anyone outside a v specific subset of the population already entrenched in the Reform UK base. The Christians who actually follow Jesus’ teachings find Reform’s politics of hate repulsive anyway.

I doubt it - I’ve seen some pretty nasty stuff from him in the last couple of years.

Maybe I was just swayed by his brilliant Dan Brown parody but I used to follow Deacon on Twitter and thought he seemed quite reasonable and thoughtful for a Telegraph journo. Seems to be another one of many to go X-brained. It’s an epidemic!

The number of people replying to this saying β€œStarmer/Labour/Tories all say the same” is mindboggling.
They clearly don’t, even when their rhetoric is hostile. I’m not even saying Labour’s immigration policy isn’t awful, the Tories aren’t nasty and Reform aren’t far right. But *this* is different.

Restore Britain will, without apology or fear, deport the third world orcs who break into our country, rape young women and then expect the British to tolerate their presence.

There is finally a political party that will defend our home, our people, our shires.

Restore Britain.

The UK parliament now has an MP who is openly racist and far right. This is, for the current era, new ground, and it will be interesting to see how - if at all – other MPs respond.

Populists saying unpopular things again. No one outside of their entrenched base wants a religious-themed β€˜patriotic’ education. There may be a market for that in the US but Reform are misreading the 2026 UK.
Along with waging a war on work/life balance and calling for a UK ICE, Reform have lost it.

Reform UK have suggested introducing a new β€˜patriotic curriculum’ based on Christianity to give children β€˜things to take pride in again’. However, there is already plenty that children and young people can and do take pride in. 🧡

With the media obsessed with an imagined war on """women and girls""" by trans people they seem curiously unbothered by the violently misogynist party leading in the polls.

This is a serious and worrying failure by media - Reform need to be pressed on the core legal and moral issues at stake here
