It’s a shame Sage wasn’t around yet when Sonic Boom was on. Her and Boom’s Eggman together would’ve been HYSTERICAL 😂🤣

I would like to see a kart racer with truly random items, not items based on your placement in the race.

I know it's done that way for balance, but in practice, everyone plays badly on purpose so they can bag good items instead of actually trying to stay in the lead. It's terrible.

Part of the charm of the first iteration of the EE was everything was written from Eggman's perspective. That got lost over time, and the site became more and more dry and "wiki-like" in how it presented information, which in hindsight was a mistake.

This is a silly fansite, and we revel in that.

Soon we'll be bringing back the "Other Villains" page from the ooooold EE (circa-early 00s), where Eggman will give his two cents on other bad guys.

I grew up spending a ton of my free time online in the early 00s, and I think it helped *improve* my literacy - because at the time, being online necessitated a lot of reading and typing. That has gradually gotten less true over time.

It's not the phones, per se - it's that the nature of the internet (whether on phone or computer) has largely shifted from being mostly text-based to mostly video-based.

A lot of kids today aren't growing up typing on message forums or reading articles, they're just watching content now.

I feel like everyone being online on the same handful of sites is why slang seems to change way faster today than it used to.

Adults pick up on teens' newfangled slang words a lot faster, then start using them themselves, which makes the words no longer cool, which necessitates making up new ones.

I don't necessarily agree with that mindset, but I think I do understand why people might give more importance to - say - Frozen 2 or Wreck-It Ralph 2 since those sequels were done by the main studio and weren't outsourced to someone else.

I think some people give WiR 2 more weight (for better or worse) because it was a "main" theatrical Disney film, whereas the 90s straight-to-video films were mostly done by Disney Toon Studios rather than the main animation studio, so they might see those titles as "less canon" for it.

The point you're making is valid and I agree, but they weren't the only fruits in Veggietales. Offhand I remember there was Madame Blueberry and a peach who was only called "the Peach."

Ultimately, you're here to enjoy the site yourself - and if people you're following are posting/reposting things that make you uncomfortable, it's 100% your valid to curate your feed however you want.

You aren't censoring them by doing that, you're doing what works for you.

I wouldn't personally call someone a bad person if they're doing something weird but ultimately victimless. However, who you follow on this site affects what sorts of content you see, and there's never anything wrong with setting boundaries.

Unfollowing someone isn't necessarily moral condemnation.

Honestly, even before the video, my take was that he was incompetent at managing a charity, but not an embezzler.

The money *was* still there and untouched all that time, after all.

I get being mad at him for that, but it's not like he ran off with the money. I don't think he's bad person.

The actual comic was pretty sailor-mouthed on the whole, so in *this* specific case it's really more due to the source material than Vivziepop's own tendency to curse.

But yeah, overall I liked it, though I did find it a little fast-paced to the point I wonder if non-fans would find it confusing.

That said, this is only a pilot. If a full series gets picked up, maybe they'll go over some of these story beats again but over a longer period of time. Hard to say.

I'm tentatively interested for now.

Homestuck pilot is alright, but I feel like if I wasn't already somewhat familiar with the comic, I'd have trouble following what's going on.

Things happen a lot faster than they did in the comic and there's less setup for why. That's part of adaptation but I do feel like newcomers might get lost.

Eggman Expo may be my favorite racetrack in any Sonic game. It's such a fantastic testament to all things Eggman.

I was really hoping he'd be a Puyo Puyo guest character, but they went with Sonic. Alas.

I remember how pessimistic the DK fandom was (and not without reason) during the buyout era.

Seeing DK fans go from hopelessness to celebration at those milestone moments (Diddy in Brawl, DKC Returns, K. Rool in Ultimate, and finally Bananza) has been truly wonderful.

CrossWorlds is great for Eggman fans.

It's got *four* Eggman Empire reps - Eggman, Sage, Metal Sonic, and even an Egg Pawn. Plus two Eggman tracks: Mystic Jungle from Forces, and the all-new Eggman Expo, a showcase of Eggman's inventions throughout the series.

The EE gives it a certified "Yosh!"

Counting the Super Show and Mario Party 2, Bowser really has had a lot of costumed personas.
