Alltför länge har svensk seriekultur varit just
svensk seriekultur. Tusen Serier är här för att ändra på det
och öppna upp den svenska serierkulturen för nya
serieskapare, nya influenser och nya perspektiv.
Vi gör seriesverige lite mindre svenskt...

Once in 1975, instead of heading to the university, he took a bus towards Rio de Janeiro to participate in a political student meeting.
Illustration of the march of the one hundred thousand, a manifestation of popular protest in Brazil in 1968. A huge sign reads: down with the dictatorship power to the people.
What does the military dictatorship in Brazil have to do with Sweden’s new snitch law immigration plan?

An anthropomorphic nib holder wearing a VIP badge on a lanyard and an anthropomorphic inkwell wearing an event wristband excitedly run up the steps of a club entrance towards doors flung wide open, gesturing for the viewer to come along. Inside the club, the indistinct forms of anthropomorphic comic pages are raving. Handwritten text on either side of the doors reads "Join us in the Coop!". Art by @blueludebar.bsky.social.

Maitake, aka hen of the woods, sheep's head mushroom. When hiking in mid-fall, be sure to check near the bases of old trees, especially oaks! Maitake likes to sit nestled in the "laps" of mature trees, which is extremely cute IMO. One of the best things about maitake is its size! I've seen mushrooms you could feed a family with! The large size means you need to clean it carefully. All sorts of little critters might be hiding inside! Black staining polypore is the mushroom you're most likely to mistake for maitake! True to its name, it stains black when bruised. It's also edible, just tough and stringy--best for broth. Hunting tips: If you see one, look around nearby! There's often multiple growing around the same tree/trees! Remember your spots and check again next fall! They can regrow in the same spots! You really can't go wrong using this mushroom in dishes -- it's very versatile. Fry it! Sear it! Soup it! Jerky it! Have fun!
Fall mushroom season is around the corner and I've got maitake on my mind! Here's a page from my free li'l mushroom hunting zine, Fungi Feast: ko-fi.com/s/6c16d1553e
