I love painting but it does take a lot out of me and clean up can be a pain. This art is so easy and clean up is put the lids on pens put pens away...so easy 🤗 I want to scale up get bigger more complex. I feel creative & excited by these pieces enjoying it immensely 😃

I have been struggling to create lately very low feelings. Today I wanted to not think about it too much no pressure. I threw paint on raw canvas board and I got this to bloom 'Green Rose Cyanine' by JAGW

I doodled a sketch in paint using my new texture tools to apply Mars Black contrasted with Phthalo Blue and highlights of Warm Metallic Gold. While I doodled I didn't think about pain, I didn't think about how to fill time I was far far away, on a blue Mars perhaps 🤔💙🖤

I held my body in awkward ways I made an effort to control and balance my paints and my brushes. Everything hurts now and I am wobbly minded exhausted but I am happy with the painting I did today 🤗😔🙃

I was going to paint an abstract, then it became and I painted giant cliffs on either side. I could see the story, two travellers searching only to find ruins of a settlement with a column of smoke beyond, one points "look over there, we go beyond" 👉👣

I continue to experiment with ink and water. Watercolour pens with felt pen on acrylic paper using water, baking soda and movement for messy blurring effects. I am enjoying the randomness and the distraction from thought and meaning.

Dark days hard to find a reason to keep going. I am trying to find some light so I got out some colourful ink and I am enjoying mess with no meaning, creation without a point or purpose except to stop my mind wondering why I continue 😑

When I paint I feel disconnected from this world and become tuned to somewhere elsewhere 🌀 I do not know what or why of this I chose the colours then started throwing paint and texture at it until it became this 🤷😎
Oh that will be its name then...Elsewhere 🤍🩶🖤

Wooden floor meets a blank cream coloured wall. Where the wall meets the floor there are seven acrylic paintings on canvas boards of different sizes lined up and leaning against the wall with a small space between each. From left to right there are six abstract paintings in vibrant colours using varied paint techniques, with large and small swishes of paint across the canvas in different directions on top of which are finer painted shaped details, scorings and different markings using contrasting or complementary colours. The 7th painting on the far right is an abstract ocean landscape using mostly blues and some white The bottom 3rd of the painting is choppy ocean water using varying shades of blue and flashes of white towards a coastline of rolling hills painted in darker blues located half way up the painting. Above the hills there is a layered stormy sky with streaks of darking blues on lighter blues and white coming towards the viewer from the horizon behind the hills. Towards the bottom right on the choppy ocean water is a small sailing boat painted in dark blue silhouette. The boat has no sails only a single empty mast in the middle, the bow of the boat points to the left with a figure in silhouette sitting in the stern. This art piece is called Blue Storm. Artists Extra note: The first 6 paintings will be posted featured separately and described with fuller descriptive detail in subsequent posts as I get them framed and hung on the wall.

This is a collection of acrylic art on canvas board I made over the last year. I will be framing them and then hanging them on the wall, I will do a post for each as I go. It will take a while as frames are expensive so I will have to source them second hand...let the thrifting frame hunt begin 🖼️☺️

Abstract painting in acrylic on Square 5x5 canvas board. Pink patches around the edges, orange splashes of paint move into the middle with strong purple patches coming down from the top surrounded by raw areas of white canvasin between the colours. Wooshing lines create circular movement around the middle of the painting, pulling purples through and across the oranges and pinks. Small splatters of paint in same three colours are dotted around the middle of the painting.
