Hell yeah to your hell yeah. And judging by your bio you might also like to know that the Xenosaga trilogy is in my top 3 JRPGs, too. (How do you break that down into one game, but I have the most fondness for episode 1)

8 is so over-hated. Both it and 13 are high on my replay list.

Absolutely. It's so much fun when all the pieces are put together—and it's a fantastic sequel, narratively. Makes total sense that that culture, finally free from sin/Sin, would err toward opulence and Having A Good Time.

(also Magical Girl is a fun genre, OK? Sue me!)

I Was Born For This | 1000xRESIST Analysis (Ep. 113)

And finally, 2 episodes I wish were higher in downloads: 1000xRESIST. This game blew me away! The devs' backgrounds in theater and art complement the narrative so deftly, in a way I almost never see in video games. It's brilliant, absolutely rife with the ingredients for interpretive discussion.

Tomorrow Comes | Clair Obscure: Expedition 33 Analysis (Ep. 151)

Of course, the newest series at the time of writing is Clair Obscur and I would be remiss not to recommend it. Across 4 episodes we break the game down meticulously, discussing how the game details grief, the unlikely origins of the studio, and much more. I'm so proud of this series.

One of the somewhat older ones (when I couldn't create thumbnails) on the music of Nobuo Uematsu was simply a delight to make. Uematsu is a titan of the video game music industry, and this episode explores why. He is SO much more than just Final Fantasy.

The Thrill of Discovery | Outer Wilds Analysis (Ep. 137)

Outer Wilds, done across 3 episodes, quickly became one of my all-time favorite games. The discussions in the episode centering on existentialism, worship, ancestry, and more were so stimulating and left me with lots to think about after the fact.

There are sound arguments as to why Clair Obscur may not be a JRPG...but "it's from France, checkmate" is absolutely not one of them.

Thank you! I'm not trying to be a pushy promoter, but the episodes sequentially won't spoil anything. Act II lasts for the first three of the four episodes. I make it that way so folks don't accidentally get spoiled.

I hope it's clear to everyone now that Trump really is going for it - he's trying to become a dictator. I don't know if he'll succeed, but he's working to install himself as an autocrat unaccountable to voters. And he's weaponizing the military against Americans who oppose him as part of that effort
