also I just wanna say A) play the game and 2) it's the sort of work that doesn't adhere to one interpretation so please don't take my wording as me thinking I'm so clever to have "figured it all out." Goes without saying imo, but I'm new to this and very self-conscious so.

The folks at SMG were exceedingly kind/generous enough to let me write something! Writing in this sort of voice and in this size of a piece is really tough for me, as I've only done sprawling word vom- I mean, long personal essays. I thought it turned out reasonably okay! Check out their site too!

One of the first games we covered on the show! I love games like this: contemplative, deliberately paced, simple prose and a simple premise both of which have plenty to mine underneath. Also, it's a beautiful game to just exist in.

Highly highly recommend if you haven't played yet!

Under Night's music is outrageous (complimentary) and the themes of the two that I actually play a lot of (Linne and Mika) are filthy (complimentary-er)

Thought about using a guide for 'em all. But now that I'm ripping through everything on NG+ I'm having a better time just leisurely exploring. I don't think I gave the environments enough credit the first time around. Lots of Naughty Dog Yellow, yeah, but that aside they're pretty good!
