What if the most important element of attending a seminar or a conference is not learning? - but it is the networks & connections you build for the future?

Just proven this in one more case.

Enough to have guests for coffee followed by tea without running the dish washer.

Let’s find the global standard.

I do remember this US headquartered knowledge intensive company clearly.

Especially about the team that moved 30 meters, frequented another canteen, and completely disconnected from their colleagues.

Is there a size limit to when a group can protect the odd one standing out? - where the groups survival will be at risk?

Any research on this? - from business or any other field?

Who should we talk to re #ecosystems? - We enable you to get far bigger impact with fewer resources.

Does not sound like the way to do it.

Wonder who made the decision to invest in this at BK? Not a people person at least.

"Do all ecosystems look the same?" - Question earlier today from someone, who spent +10 years connecting their ecosystem.

Answer: "No, you are 15% better connected. The question is, if this good enough with your investment so far

Be more intentional. Let us tell you how.

πŸ‘‰πŸ» 3% of people influence up to 90% of their peers!

But activating them requires trust and human connection.

For example, the president of a New York organization knew the list of names, blocked lunch breaks and invited them for 1:1 brown bag walks. πŸ₯―🌯

After, trust grew and changed everything.

How fast you get embedded into an org as a newcomer has got nothing to do with your age, the generation you belong to or…

It has got everything to do with that you just started…

And that most orgs ignore building intentional connections as part of their onboarding.

Doing another #ecosystem analysis… one thing that @innovisor.bsky.social also adds is a comparison. When we can contrast & compare, we understand better, what needs to be improved and how.

The State of Work Today - The Three Percent Rule On The State of Work Today Podcast, Jeppe Hansgaard shares how to identify, engage, and sustain the 3% of the most influential people.

One year ago I joined the State of Work podcast with Tim Glowa.

I shared why hierarchical top-down does not work for change and why you should identify, activate and engage the 3% of employees who impact the perceptions of up to 90% of the organization.

The real question is, how you can improve connectivity achieved through courses already after 1 or 2 courses.

More learning & training in the form of courses equals better connectedness, but not before you have joined +3 courses.

Insight from #ecosystem research done by Innovisor.

NB! Better connectedness leads to better performance and quality on the ecosystem objective.

My evidence based brain reacts to broad generalizations… like β€œALL LEADERS of today do this & that”, as I was told today.

People are unique… also leaders.

Change doesn’t fail because people resist, but because leaders stay at a distance. πŸ”

When leaders are visibly in the work, change becomes shared, not delegated.
That is when people commit.

πŸ’‘Informal influence is not activated through authority, but through proximity, curiosity, and listening.

If you want informal influencers to carry change, you need to meet them where they are. Only then can you engage them in a way that fits them, not your org chart!
