I’d say just get him to start with season 2. Season 1 of tng is beyond clunky and while season 2 is hit or miss, its hits are some of the best episodes of the show. I remember the drug allegory episode from season 1 being pretty good but maybe also show the lore episode. It’s not great but he’ll

My best buddy, whom I convinced to convince his parents to buy him a Dreamcast when we were kids, who then fell SO VERY IN LOVE with Shenmue that he adopted Ryo Hazuki's mannerisms in high school, gave me this for Christmas in 2015.
