I had over 80 rejections before I found mine! You’re so right, and wonderful advice

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but my book was rejected by 98 literary agents before I found one who would represent me. Whatever it is just keep trying.

Love getting my writing done for the day. Love that I feel like I've accomplished something and been productive.

Hate that I have to do it all over again tomorrow otherwise the Bad Feelings are gonna Get Me.

I grew up on a diet of Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark... I swear these vines covering a lamppost in Wroclaw, Poland are straight out of my childhood nightmares.

It’s bad when you write primarily horror and your made-up worlds feel more comforting and stable than the real one you live in.

Full disclosure, I signed with Sara Megibow in January, and since I’m dipping my toe into horror she recommended your book. I’m glad I read it. So much of it was genuinely terrifying.

Also, Darius might be my favorite character. I just really like him.

That answers my burning question! Reading your book, I thought okay… this is too real… the author knows someone with sleep hallucinations 😂 Turns out you know them very well

Write your story as if it’s the reader’s second time. Assume they know all the backstory and exposition, and just tell it. Act as if they already understand without you holding their hand.

I just finished @scribeofhades.bsky.social’s THE REDEMPTION OF MORGAN BRIGHT and it will live in my head for a while. Especially as someone who has frequent hypnagogic hallucinations, the spooky sleep events hit close to home!

Excellent book, I’ll be thinking about it for a long time.

I hate how I see an interesting picture or video (and now, video games) and I have to stop and go “Is this AI?” before I can enjoy it

Not only do I feel constantly crazy by having to question everything I see and figure out if it’s REAL or not, it’s just exhausting
