12.12.2025 16:12 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Just like with Remedy's announcement about the next Control game. These two are to be added to my wishlists.
And for the 4th game, it means I'll replay the latest 3 before playing 4. Excited.
I think Control is a gem of a game. I've really enjoyed playing it, and playing it over 3 times (when new DLC was added), and then seeing the Alan Wake eggs, just excellent, really excellent.
So, this, very much looking forward to this.
Yea, I remember one Woman who came into work when I was the DWP with 'I made it in!, and then spent all day coughing, sneezing and looking like death.
She got sent home, but infected most of the team in that area.
In my teenage years I had a bout, I went to the Doctors who told me to go home and rest up until better, my old man told me go back to school and work it off.
That's why I return to work too early when I am ill, and get worse and are ill longer, stupid me really.
That is brilliant, but I can't see the D4 for damage anywhere!
12.12.2025 14:26 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Yup, and I had a mild version (thanks to the Jab I suppose), got my 18 year old proper (who also had the Jab).
Can't imagine having full-blown flu, this was bad enough.
Get vaccinated folks!
Which should then allow me (us) to know my energy incoming (Solar) my energy storage (battery unit) and then allow me to link into the Octopus tarrif that allows me to choose when to use the cheapest electricity.
Been thinking this for a few years, just got to decipher data flows.
I pulled out a load of old tech stuff, old Pi's and a small USB touch screen monitor (not sure why I have half this stuff).
I'm going to look in the new year at automating certain parts, pulling data from my Solar Inverter (which is being a pain), and combining that with other data. 1/2
And the Snowman gets another Winter! Nice work. I used to have these skills but went software, going to change that next year and I have just the project.
12.12.2025 13:24 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0Flu day++, it's gone, well, almost - still have an occasional cough which sounds like I'm a demon, but it's a massive improvement and first day for over a week that I've taken no pain killers.
So, treating myself, some Lara Croft animation re-watch before Season II later next week.
Doing things like that won't win them votes, well it would a few from the decent folk who care about libraries and their importance to the future. I'll raise this at work next week, I bet I get ignored.
12.12.2025 13:09 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0We watched both films last weekend. I still prefer the first film, but looking forward to the 3rd.
12.12.2025 12:21 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0That it did, and I remember I added Silent Night music in the background as I was pretty amazed at the multi-channel sound the beeb could make. Isn't it amazing how things just come back into view in our brains from a suggestion etc.
I can remember where and what shop ran the comp as well now!
One of the younger Civil Servants received a title award for massively automating a number of spreadsheets. The UK is run using Excel, and it's quite frightening.

12.12.2025 11:53 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Crumbs, takes me back to when I was 12 (I think). I entered a local computer competition to make an Xmas card on the screen. I came second (I wrote mine in BBC Basic) simply because the animation was a bit slow. The winner had written their's in assembler, which got my attention after that.
12.12.2025 11:20 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I work in Gov, and I can tell you that it's mostly emails and spreadsheets these days. I run a dozen engineering teams and the fight to build the right thing is real, some don't want their spreadsheets replaced.

11.12.2025 21:54 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Gah that 'window of opportunity', get in early as ours closes as soon as they book the last appointment, and that's been as short as 20 minutes.
11.12.2025 21:49 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0If this flu buggers off, I *should* be there.
11.12.2025 20:18 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Snap. I've got to log in tomorrow as I've taken half this week off, and I don't want to.
11.12.2025 17:54 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Same with me and Camina Drummer (The Expanse) - not sure why, but crikey.
11.12.2025 15:47 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Flu/plague day++, got me in the night again, woke up coughing and sweating and head banging headache.
Youngest is still off from school with it and we told the school (and bus) to come back on Monday.
I really enjoyed the 3 recent games, so I'm hoping for more in that ilk.

May your dice roll well. Have a great one all.
Thought I kicked the flu out of my system, it came back last night with a vengeance, and now I've finished work for the day I can still feel it.
Sodding bugs, and now the missus is complaining of a sore-throat and not feeling great.
Morning, finally, the Flu has left me, but hasn't left my young daughter.
I told Flu to go into space or to the moon next, rather than looking for another person.
Flu-day 7, but brain fog is lifting.
There should be a rule, if someone in office (Councillor/MP) who are aligned to a party, ie LibDems, Tory etc, and they change their allegiance, then they should step down.
