I've noticed that a lot of art commissioners tend to hesitate when it comes to asking for changes and it makes me sad. If these requests are reasonable I'm always more than happy to do these changes! We artists are not psychics so we don't always get it right immediately and that's ok.

but i also wanted this piece to feel like lament for the dragon because of it's place in the setting. if there are god and a mere human in the frame, of course god is what the piece is about. And if it's dead, and there's grieving person, there's no way human is not grieving about it

thank you so much for kind words!! story-wise Vawyn is exhausted and grieving because there was no time to be tired or grieve until the dragon was slain, battle itself took many lives, and death of this god isnt a promise of bright future, it's something that had to be done to have any future at all

Design sheet for the Crystal dragon. It had two tails and saggy skin, mama mia what more could a guy want 😍

With all the Gem Dragons I did for Dungeons & Dragons The Book of Dragons, the crystal dragon probably had the strongest foundation to build from so I really made a meal out of painting the skin folds.
