Love laying down with my phone and seeing this on a (less) blue light filtered screen for the first time 💀 not super worried since I filter blue unanimously (migraine color) and just work with it but that cloak is RED RED.

probably not the best thing to reopen after no rendering in.... long, but finally plugging along at an attempt to finish this mess.

had to forbid myself any fabric until now, otherwise id just put fabric everywhere 😔

Sequential comic of mostly frameless panels with my dark urge tiefling from bg3 and minthara. Panel one shows the tiefling prone, laying in a pool of blood seeming to come from himself. He clutches his head and face. Panel two is divided by the trailing tail of the slayer monster, looming behind Minthara as she braces the tiefling. Panel 3 & 4 show them sharing a quick, relieved hug, then making an injured escape. Final panel shows Minthara in camp clothes, watching over the bloodstained tiefling while he sleeps. The slayer's tail loops out of view. Wither's speech (reordered) reads throughout the panels "Thou art godless, faithless... doomed. There is no true rest for those like thee, child of (Bhaal and Lolth are crossed out) none."

He has one hand raised above his head, thumb and forefinger pinched together, with an eye shape drawn between them. The 'card' is a reference to the hanged man tarot in composition and the 'waning' moon refers to the the declining genetics of a shrouded navigator family.

Earlier drawings of Adelpha including a side profile, and some sketches trying to parse out how exactly his open collar was going to work.

A short series of sequential panels. Panel one, Adelpha is kneeling, faced away from the viewer, scrawling unintelligible runes on a darkened floor and wall. A single blue butterfly floats behind him, asking "So soon again, little firebug?" Panel two is Adelpha preparing a spell, addressing the insect derisively, "Don't feign concern, creature. Just hope, this time..." Panel three completes his dialogue, framing a skeleton with the words "...she finally kills me" as well as Adelpha's glowing gold lines of magic. His pupil-less eyes and a cloud of butterflies match the color.

also, out of my two bearded boys, adelpha is definitely the one who saw the most traffic on pinterest boards as all sorts of 'dancer' classes.

He's actually a warlock (sort of), and entirely blind. The butterflies are his eyes, and gust of wind is his nemesis. #dnd #ocs (last one tonight♥)

He himself has on armor and looks injured/ill from an oil-like corruption streaming from his nose and mouth. On all sides of him, large cats like lions and panthers are laying or pawing at him in concern, but he stares straight ahead, dazed.

Character lineup of three dnd npcs--the tallest is Marius, heavily armored and broad, loosely holding an orange-tasseled polearm. The next is another elf, possibly a rogue, dressed similarly in uniform but with lighter armor. The shortest is a blue-gray tiefling, armed with a crossbow and a swirl of magic, but dressed far plainer than the other two.

Earliest drawing of Marius (from 2017! wow). Includes a small silhouette of an outfit, plus a bust that shows the slight silvering of his hair and other signs of age. He also has an extensive lightning scar that lances from his back and over his shoulder.

by 'try again' i mean: i think i should have gone with sketch #1 maybe. I very much wanted him rotated 45 degrees from that one, arrow toward the bottom of the image, but doing it made brador's readability impossible. maybe its just impossible in general! i dunno to this day 😭

i couldn't decide which version to render, so i rendered both simultaneously.
