If universities employ characters like this, what do they expect? There is a desperate shortage of principled, competent leaders in HE.

Cardiff Met UCU has requested that Cardiff Met re open their voluntary severance programme or, if necessary, a voluntary redundancy programme across the whole university. Universities should not be choosing to use compulsory redundancy.

Can the Welsh Government save Higher Education? Not on its own.

Cardiff Met UCU has requested a pause in the redundancy consultation process. We cannot engage in MEANINGFUL consultation when over half our members and union officers are on leave.
