But there's just so much "we have to keep getting harder."

That's ultimately why I stopped HK. I enjoyed both, but I recognize when I'm no longer having fun.

But there's too much "your next attempt comes 5-7 minutes after your last one, and that attempt lasts less than 30 seconds because you die in two hits."

It's not that they're "fundamentally unfair." They're learnable and predictable and even fun.

But they're designed to demand execution even during the learning phase, and that's just not fun for me.

I play multiple instruments. I am willing to play the same five notes 100 times.

Finally in Silksong Act 3 and I gotta say - Hornet needs a vacay.

They can change the rules. They're changing them about everything else, they aren't here deliberately for the fight. Don't even mention that. Just say it plainly: they have majorities in both houses, a friendly SCOTUS, and the Presidency. Why can't they keep the government open?

They choose.

The only parts that don't get regularly updated are things you'd need a construction crew to change - towers, laid cables, etc.

You'd be surprised how often non "last mile" infrastructure gets updated. It's pretty continuous.

I mean - technically ALL electronics are consumables in this same way. They aren't built to degrade - just they aren't worth much when NEWER BETTER comes out every 18 months.

I think others have already said this - but I think it's an attempt to avoid fines from compliance with CA pollution laws.

The vast majority of those electronics never see a recycler - they're just dumped somewhere with more lax standards.

Like, IANAE, but I believe as a society we'll be pulling apart defunct solar panels long before we start mass recycling phones or GPUs.

While the metals used in electronics are extremely valuable, the quantity they're used in electronics is much smaller than the amount of them used in other things. That's why recycling electronics is something that in general doesn't make economic sense even though it's environmentally smart.

Has any reporter asked who is paying to "goldify" the Oval Office, and what's happening after his term? I haven't caught it if so.

I haven't worked at Blizzard in over two years.

I only recently started buying t-shirts again. I've kept the whole family in hoodies.

So I'm so far into the fight that I'm at the point where you have to stay airborne because there's rocks and spikes across the entire platform, so I suspect I'm very close to the end IIRC from the non-cursed version of the fight.

It'll happen.
