Glances at Snow, shrugging her shoulders. Regina had no idea it was his birthday. In fact she knew only Henry’s.

Regina lightly shrugs with a smile.

“I could pull away from my very boring evening to share a meal with you, however, I much prefer tequila or whiskey to wine.”

“Coffee sounds lovely. Im generally at the office, please feel free to stop by or text me anytime and I’ll break away from whatever mundane task is at hand.”

Mirroring Emma’s smile, Regina nods subtly. This was a step in the right direction.

“Yes, he is. In fact, I’m certain he will be with them for a few days. Something about sword fighting was mentioned.”

Thankfully the town is unusually quite, which could me impending doom, but for now it mess a peaceful walk through empty streets and a lot of stargazing.

“Perhaps I exaggerated, just a bit. It hasn’t been all chaos.”

A subtle shrug accompanied her statement which was followed by a smile to match Emma’s.

“I’d really like it we could catch up sometime, Emma, you could tell me how married life is and about your travels at sea?”

Regina purses her lips with a slight shake of her head, concealing a grin.

“Of course you wouldn’t.”

Regina presses her lips firmly together in order to hide her smile. Truth be told, she actually did miss this annoying human.
Even with their complicated history, that fact was, she grew to love (and hate) Snow like a daughter.

Fortunately for a majority of the town, not so much for the brunette. At least not that she’d admit.
