Went to buy a record today and every thing I looked at was not by Waxahatchee, so I didn’t buy anything.

On day 5 I started my 3rd week of Couch to 5K and had as much energy after as before.

I used to run but old doctor told me to stop because of high BP.

Shocked at how good I feel.

On day 4 (was very low carb for a week before) of carnivore diet (her day 2) I saw myself in the mirror before getting in the shower and I looked…different.

So I weighed myself and I’d lost 8 pounds.

3. I’m a counselor and I’m curious as to the effects this has on our mental and emotional health.

Why are you doing this? Three reasons.

1. To get off blood pressure meds and lose some weight.

2. My wife has some arthritis in a toe and it keeps her from being active. She also has joint pain.

After lots of research and talking to people, the carnivore diet sounds like a good option.

Just watched some clips from the Super Bowl and if Lauren Daigle was your Taylor Swift you would be a far more joyful person.

I can remember the first time I heard this album almost 38 years ago.

I felt transported. A kind of transcendent wonder gripped me. I was already a fan but these songs that *meant* something and pointed to a Reality beyond what I could see, well, they changed me.

I was 15.

I don’t say this lightly, but that album is Dylanesque. Genius.

Sitting here listening to Waxahatchee and thinking about how I haven’t heard someone that reminded me of Dylan this much in a long time. #musicsky

Day 19

I’ve been waiting awhile for this, with high expectations.

It’s better than I hoped.

He covers Blind Willie Johnson, Depeche Mode, Bob Dylan, The National, Duran Duran, Simon and Garfunkel, and U2/BB King.

It’s bluesy sweaty gospel with heavenly dive bar horns. It reminds me of Cash’s American Recordings.

This new album from Russ Taff is pretty powerful.

Produced by Steve Taylor, Taff uses cover songs to tell his story of trauma amidst alcoholism and abuse at home as a child, his own struggle with alcoholism, and his break from crippling legalism to the freedom of God’s grace.
