Small Prophets. Very much like The Detectorosts. Just heart warming beautiful TV. And about time Pearce Quigley had that leading role. Mackenzie Crook is a very talented person.

Well, SMALL PROPHETS is quite the most beautiful little show, and just the thing to get me through this hospital stay. The cast are spot on, the tone is pitch-perfect, and Mackenzie Crook is an absolute genius. This feels like the sort of thing we'd only get to see because of the BBC.

Pearce Quigley and Lauren Patel in Small Prophets. Lauren is holding two large glass bottles. Pearce is looking disheveled. He has a large white beard. They are in a garden environment.

Who else is on the Small Prophets bandwagon?

If you aren’t yet, this is the gentle, kindly comedy that you need to watch.

We’re talking first season Ted Lasso kind of great.

Avoid knowing the plot going in.

(It is SFF, and I’d love to see it get a Hugo in 2027.)

I recommend Small Prophets. A slow build over the series as you would expect, but always amusing and laugh-out-load (plus other emotions) by the end.
