Had Trump indeed secured the rights to half of Ukraine’s rare minerals for the US as a thank-you from Zelensky for brokering a peace, he predictably would swiftly gift a considerable percentage to Putin as part of the supposed peace agreement. Ukraine needs to retain *all* rights to its resources.

I also notice that as Zelensky was measuredly explaining Putin’s history of aggression and broken agreements with Ukraine, VP JD Vance was clasping and wringing his hands, awaiting to interject his loud, berating attack on Ukraine’s president. Vance had memorized, prepared remarks. Totally.

Watching the total exchange in the Oval Office I detect that a composed Zelensky’s explanation of Putin’s history of invasion & broken promises was followed by an absolutely obvious PREPARED STATEMENT from VP JD Vance. His attack didn’t even fit the context of what the Ukrainian president had said.

Even Hegseth looked mortified. But he will surely soon be singing praises of Trump and Vance.

His lips would have to be surgically removed from Putin’s KGB butt.

A strong, diplomatic, restrained Zelensky, exiting with Ukraine’s rare minerals fully im hand, was the world stage winner at The White House:
