The King of Horror (see what I did there?) gave me some of the most helpful writing advice I've had yet. "She wrote quickly, her hand scribbing furiously against the parchment." doesn't sing the same as "Ink splattered in her haste, each word fueled by passion and anguish." #badverbs #stephenking
