Trump Signs Executive Order That Threatens to Punish States for Passing AI Laws The order creates a Justice Department task force to challenge state AI laws and directs the Commerce Department to pull future broadband funding from states that pass “onerous” legislation.

This unconstitutional executive order gives tech giants a blank check to experiment and deploy AI without meaningful oversight.

The Senate rejected a similar measure earlier this year by a vote of 99-1. We need more accountability for tech companies, not less.

This was the true purpose of DOGE. They took our information & consolidated it for easy access. The redundancy in the different federal agencies were firewalls to protect our privacy.
