AH, THAT'S RIGHT - obviously what you intend to commission affects this a lot as well, so remember to consider this!

you can get away with not having a side angle if the side itself isn't very distinct (and if it's just the arms you can usually just turn the character's arm on the front angle)

expanded/highlighted detail shots for things that you don't want to be interpreted out of your design

... that, said, as an artist that works off of one screenshot I'm also terrible at making good ref sheets for myself, so my advice is very ymmv
