A nice job yesterday. My client ordered these 4 bar stools and requested that I finish them off. You can see the heavy brush marks from the primer application. This was all sanded down, wiped clean ready to be painted. The ‘after’ will be shown on next post.

Pro tip.

It makes all the difference when you gently ‘pad off’ the primer - this process removes all final nibs, leaving a smooth surface to then apply your top finish coats on. Remove all dust and you’re good to go. Using a Gold Flex sanding pad here.

In Tesa precision tape we trust. I always finish my woodwork, tape and then decorate the walls down to the tape.

Before & after. Radiator removed & spray finished. Window prepped and sprayed/ walls/ ceiling finished using Little Greene Intelligent Emulsion. Intelligent Eggsshell on the skirtings. Much brighter and ready for a young boy’s first own room.

Thought I’d demonstrate how products and decorators differ. I have finished this door on the inside of the room I’m working in. The outside of the door (finished in the same colour) has not aged well since February. Gaps etc and hardly looks prepped.

A product called PeelTec will take this paint off. A wire brush and good sand will prep it nicely.

This radiator looks brand new once again. Enjoyed doing this.

Before & after. I used ‘GoldFlex’ sanding pads to prepare this radiator ready to be sprayed in a Satinwood finish. 🤌

Staircase spray finished and protected while I completed the walls. Such a beautiful carpet runner that will complement this work. Each tread and riser scrutinised under spotlight as I deal with blemishes & nibs. Can’t wait to show the end results.

Edging closer to completion. So much prep here to bring the brand new plaster up to a high standard that I require to finish on top of.

I’ve recently discovered Chris Williamson - the host of Modern Wisdom. Incredibly bright. He recently turned down Trump to appear on his podcast. Don’t blame him.
