Yes, interesting that Labor go hard against the Greens even though preferences flow back to them. The one similarity is that we have a Labor government alienating progressives by courting the 'centre'. So far this hasn't brought huge shift the Greens although a gradual upward trend.

Thanks. It's interesting that the tactic here was to vote Green - clearly people felt they had a better chance than Labour.

I'm not a big believer in 'tactical' voting, commentators talk about it but I'm not convinced many people do it. Here we have a Northern electorate, low engagement (47% turnout) and a Labour government busy courting the 'centre' and alienating progressives. How much of this applies in Oz?

Remember we are talking about children here. They did not 'make this bed', why should they have to lie in it?

So, the 'Isis Brides'.
- 23 are children. They are not responsible for anything.
- All 34 are Australian citizens, entitled to return.
- None of them has been convicted of a crime, or even charged.
The idea that we should leave them in a crappy camp forever is cruel. This is not 'social cohesion'.

Implemented here in Oz last year. My grandkids tell me it's easy to get around. If they made it so it wasn't, eg by requiring actual ID, most people would quit social media because it would make identity theft virtually certain. Of course they could always regulate social media companies instead 😂😂

Gordon Nuttall, former Qld Health Minister, went to jail in 2009 for taking bribes. Also Craig Thompson in 2014 although for crimes committed before his election. Hanson was released on appeal which despite my loathing for her I believe was fair - she was more likely stupid than criminal.
