Great to meet Gordon Brown in Fife to see the work of the Big House Multibank.
Ending child poverty is Labourβs moral mission: itβs why I entered politics and itβll be my top priority as deputy leader.
The choice is clear - back Bridget so we can unite our party, deliver for working people, and make our members proud. πΉ

Iβve always been a campaigner, and that wonβt change as your Deputy Leader.
I love getting out across our regions and nations.
As your Deputy Leader, Iβll be by your side, making members proud of our government and proud to knock on doors.
Tackling child poverty is the only way we can build a country where background isn't destiny, so where you're from doesn't determine what you go on to achieve.

Another sunny day on the campaign trail in Exeter yesterday!
Iβve been out speaking with members across our regions and nations about what matters most to you. As your Deputy Leader, Iβll be by your side - making members proud of our government and proud to knock on doors.
Divided parties donβt win elections.
With the threat of Reform, we must unite, not divide our movement and energise our opponents.
As your Deputy Leader, with a seat in Cabinet, Iβll put Labourβs heart & soul into government and deliver for all of our nations and regions.

Great deputy leaders who put our partyβs soul into the heart of government with a mandate from the membership and a seat at the Cabinet table.
Big shoes to fill but footsteps I am pledging to follow in as Deputy Leader.

Divided parties donβt win elections.
With the threat of Reform, we must unite, not divide our movement.
As your Deputy Leader, Iβll bring our party together and be a strong voice in Cabinet, keeping Labour focused on the everyday issues that matter most.
Tackling child poverty would be my number one mission as Deputy Leader.
Iβve already delivered for thousands of children. But with a mandate to do more and a seat at the Cabinet table, Iβll drive real change for working people across our country.
Today marks two years since Hamasβs horrific attack on Israel - the worst attack on the Jewish people since the Holocaust.
We stand with Jewish communities against hate and terror.
Our goal remains clear: free the hostages, get aid into Gaza, and build a lasting peace.
In our first year, we got more children back in our classrooms and more expert teachers at the front of them β Labour is fixing the foundations of our schools.
But weβre doing more to recruit 6,500 teachers with financial incentives to Get Into Teaching.

Wonderful to visit St Anthonyβs Catholic Primary School in Penge, where a new school-based nursery is being built - giving children the best start in life and making life easier for working parents.
Thatβs the difference a Labour government makes πΉ
A very sunny day out on the doors in Beckenham and Penge with @liamconlon.bsky.social π
As your Deputy Leader, I will be your campaigner in chief. And with a seat in Cabinet, I will make sure that our Labour government stays focused on what matters most to our members and trade unions.
Great to be at Labour Conference last week - but I know most of you were at home, in your communities, busy with life.
But you want to know Labourβs getting on with the job: delivering and focusing on the issues that matter most to you. Thatβll be my focus as your Deputy Leader.
As Deputy Leader I will push our government to be bolder, to go further and be the voice of members at the Cabinet table.
Give me a mandate to do more, not give permission for more division and disunity.

Campaigning recap:
β‘οΈ Saturday - Hornsey & Friern Barnet then Islington North
β‘οΈ Sunday - Bristol
I want our members proud to knock on doors, proud of our Labour government, and ready to win again.
As Deputy Leader, Iβll be the voice for working people at the Cabinet table.
The attack on a mosque in Peacehaven this weekend represents an evil we must tackle.
Hate cannot and will not win.
Every community must be safe in Britain.

Deeply proud to be backed by Alan Johnson, a giant of the Labour movement.
The deputy leadership is a choice between a strong government true to our values and ready to win again, or the divided party for which Farage is desperate.

Yesterday I joined the Jewish Community Council of Gateshead for a discussion and a walk round Bensham.
We stand with them in this time of grief and will work together to root out antisemitism from our society.
Every community must be safe in Britain.
My thoughts are with all those affected by the horrific attack on a synagogue in Manchester this morning and with the Jewish community on Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the year.
My thanks to our emergency services for their response.
