This Christmas the real Scrooges are corporations that raked in record profits this year but still deny workers a living wage and benefits.

Unfortunately, my politics are rooted in a deep love for humanity and the exhausting belief that a better world is possible.

Not to ruin the wonderfully positive vibes on this site, but is anyone else here concerned that American society, politics, and culture have become morally and psychologically addled?

When Republicans are in power, they rack up giant deficits, mainly by cutting taxes on corporations and the wealthy.

Then when Democrats take the reins, Republicans blame them for being big spenders.

Both of those books talk about failing African states due to poor governance and corruption.
