Exaggeration?
If not, is the difference between Dem and Rep equivalent to good oligarchy vs. bad oligarchy?
Broad, gung ho police state, oligarchy
vs.
a narrower scope manifestation, i.e. institutional blindness to problems w financial sector 'innovations', etc.?

It's okay to lift light.
Text files are useful!
Just seen βThe Brideβ. Schlocky, camp and fun, as only an homage to James Whale could be. @drvil.bsky.social

#socialmedia came across a post by a non-cool writer calling out some other writer's post for trying to be gawker cool.
The original post was an irony-rich political scathertribe
(since everyone else is being writer cool I might as well coin a new word, combining scathing diatribe)
#writing bunk couple of days. Outlined the chapter but very little actual prose.
Meanwhile, got excited about a couple of wiki summaries of PKD novels. LOL
'Ubik': the idea of a kind of bomb that functions as a kind of interdimensional time machine. #WeirdSpacetime
Haha. Yeah, that would make a difference. :D (y)

07.03.2026 21:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Having said the above, someone might find it useful in instances. It seems like a small return for work invested. Aren't there easier ways to identify people with opposing views? For instance, a person that views themselve as the "king of the world" could just assume that everyone disagrees.

Of course there are any number of categories that social media posts could be sorted by but would the end result be informative? Posts indicate liberal/feminist politics. Correlation w routing and time would narrow possibilities.
Useful?
Some write in a more sophisticated style. That would narrow it down. But, some highly educated people don't bother projecting a sophisticated image online. And, simplicity might be the apex of sophistication in certain instances. From a certain perspective.

What does Shakespeare have to do with social media? Well, it should be easier to identify Shakespeare than most of political posters. They all use the same limited vocab and comment on the same issues.
The idea that we're all creating unique impressions is lovely but not true for most of us.
#surveillance #writing saw a post about LLMs used to identify 'anonymous' social media accounts and it made me think of the Shakespeare authorship question. His writing has been analyzed in every way possible. I find the case for DeVere as author intriguing but its hardly definitive.

I wouldn't invite coworkers to dinner and eat before they arrive. But, yeah, it does establish that the captain doesn't care about Picard's and Riker's opinions of him.
It also made for entertaining tv. :D
Way back in 1984 when Jim and I made The Terminator, the #SaturnAwards were the only organization to honor the film. I will always be grateful and appreciative of the late Dr. Donald A. Reed and the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror, for their early support!
