My friends (Nottingham) are going to Manchester.

TBH I lost interest in them after Permanent Waves.

Some schoolfriends got tickets. I tried to sound interested, but unless the setlist is pre-Moving Pictures then meh.

I would say his darkest material is released under the Bass Communion moniker and his most sombre is under the name "no-man". Neither of which have the heavy guitars and rock dynamic of later PT. Storm Corrosion might be worth a punt. Or perhaps Grace For Drowning.

My 2026 gig list has just been added to. It is small but perfectly formed.

"A great candidate for us".... by "us" he means 'a coalition of fashy flagshaggers and 'Spoons knuckleheads" doesn't he?

As opposed to the coalition of fashy flagshaggers and 'Spoons knuckleheads that voted for him in much smaller numbers than the polls predicted?

My violin is so tiny I can't find it 😂

he's been very quiet recently.

I'm looking forward to seeing her face on the BBC as they ask her about it. Oh wait...

...and I'm sure the presenter mentioned the fact repeatedly that they performed much worse than the polls predicted.

No? They must have forgotten. Or Auntie edited that bit out as it was offensive to their paymasters.

"I think the right were told how to vote, and I think that what you saw was a coalition of fashy flagshaggers and 'Spoons knuckleheads coming together to perform much worse than the polls suggested (and left the BBC very upset as a result) ."

There... fixed it for him.

Its additive/iodine free. Table salt in the UK contains additives to stop it "caking".

I've retired to my pit to start my re-read of "Magic - The David Paton Story".

Bay City Rollers, Pilot, Alan Parsons, Camel, Elton, Rick Wakeman... what's not to love?

Pilot are one of my (admittedly many) favourite bands.

I still play them fairly regularly 😂

I concur... but everytime I try his solo albums I come away disappointed. Then again, I found Eat Me In St Louis quite variable (Still Too Young To Remember is unreasonably good though).

He's said some pretty vicious stuff in the past about various protected characteristics. And then when challenged, dug his heels in. And it was in the post drug period so that can't be blamed.

Time And A Word is my favourite Yes album. I find them very hard to like generally

They're my favourite band... and have been since 1972. Its a banger of an album.

its the curtain lead weights I've sewn into the hem of my hankies that made him capitulate.

It boils my piss when people say "Bakewell" when they mean "iced frangipane jam tart".

Its a (hot) coss (bun) I'm prepared to die on. Icing and glace cherries do not belong anywhere near a Bakewell.

Although there's nowhere as near as many fucks, I've always limed Go To Hell by Blackfield.

When I did my psychology degree, the bits I enjoyed most were theories of self image and relationships. Sometimes it colours how I look at social media.

That's not the impression I get. Its difficult to explain why. It doesn't help that there's a lack of depth to any posts where there should be... just really odd.

I understand single issue platforming... but when that issue bleeds into all aspects of life but posts don't represent that...

This time next year, the search begins in earnest for a new car. We love the PHEV range extender but I really want to go back to BEV. I already have a shortlist of 2 (possibly 3) with a 350+ mile range (WLTP) that aren't huge behemoths.
