Getting back to Bushcraft, first revision session had the class constructing models of Angkor Wat as part of our Diwali week

I think someone must have done this before as it’s such a simple and versatile activity for your learners to pick up and play. An instant hit with the class #playinupperprimary

Quite happy with how this turned out! When you need a wee session on times table revision but want to keep it fairly light - get outside and get some leaves! 🍁

I doubt there is a better exercise you can do in a maths lesson than this one. The discussion is amazing.

This’ll be the third year I’ve gone running ‘fall football’ with an upper primary class and it’s such a great opportunity to extend learning across a term and offer lots of opportunities for consolidation and depth!

I adore K’nex but this much cheaper alternative has a huge amount of scope for block play and exploration of structure #playinupperprimary

I was delighted when a pair of mine did the times table stick method of ‘half of 30 is 15, then double 3 is 6 etc’
