My company just implemented a +/- .5% pay “raise” based on your industry average income meaning if they perceive you are making too much they are TAKING back .5%. They don’t show their work either so they get to just say you are making too much and take some of it back.

I agree with you but the reality is that those in control will never make less. They’ll cut pay to keep their wealth while the rest of us suffer.
