a photograph of the beginnings of an embroidery project. a hand drawn pattern on embroidery sheet is layered over green fabric, with some of the lines starting to be stitched over.

my embroidery experience starts and ends with cross stitch but ive managed to fully convince myself that i can do this

todays progress! just pinned together and obviously not hemmed, but i'm happy with the shape

i havent made plush in like five years and cosplay in even longer... pray for me

pepemu's brother, on the other hand, is doing his best. twelve bless him. its pepemu's first LLD without her father, uncles and cousins around her, and yucha is really trying to make sure she still feels special (it's her favourite holiday, after all)

It's common for friends of the workers to be invited (read: dragged along whether they like it or not), but isn't something that the big city folk would go out of their way to attend.

Whilst visitors are always welcome to stop by (invite your cousins! Bring the in-laws!), it's primarily an event held BY farmers FOR farmers - a way to celebrate the honest graft of working with the land.

There's a show for prize produce (largest pumpkin, funniest shaped carrot, best painted eggs) and a big table at the top of the field for offerings to the Twelve. The winners of each competition get put on this table, as well as a serving of every dish made.

As well as eatings, there's lots of fun activities: From ring toss and produce-themed face painting for the young-uns to wine and hard cider samplings for the grown ups! It's a very "drink and be merry" affair, with lots of singing and catching up with old friends.

It's a way for farmers to keep in touch with each other, find out what neighbours might be open to trading and bartering (wheat for eggs, etc) as well as an opportunity to celebrate and be merry in what at many times can be quite a thankless job.

First harvest of the season up in Cedarwood, a bunch of the farms will hold a potluck style get-together. Each farm will bring one of their specialty crops/butcherings/etc and a few tables and chairs, and everyone will eat together and celebrate for a bounteous season to come! #oc:albibi

i will continue showing up confidently to serious rp events on my collection of lalafell characters without shame forever and ever. every single person that sees me and goes "oh maybe i could make a lala too" is a win in my book!!!

my goal in ffxiv is to make people unafraid of having/drawing lala wols tbh. really wish there were more of them in the western space. several friends told me that they got bullied out of playing a lala and thats just sad to me
