The static camera areas in Clair Obscur are breathtaking, and I’m ready to declare the world ready for a return to PSX-style static camera console RPGs.

Watching your podcasts while doing studio work for my courses made me feel a lot less lonely. I will always be forever grateful to you guys for helping me get through college.

While it may not have the best story or combat system, Grandia truly embodies the spirit of adventure

Discovering new lands in a quest to uncover the mysterious downfall of an ancient civilization with some of the most endearing characters was truly a magical experience

I feel like the Rewind feature in Mario Kart World could be broken now that I think about it. If you're in first place and a blue shell is coming, what's stopping you from rewinding. I hope they balance the feature by forcing you to rewind like 3 to 5 seconds back everytime you activate it

Even though they "technically" showed new stuff, most of those features are series staples like Battle and Versus Mode. Like HOLY SHIT, NINTENDO ADDED ONLINE PLAY TO MARIO KART WORLD!?!?!? It's nothing exciting.

Nintendo's messaging has felt all over the place right now, it's genuinely baffling

The Charge Jump Parkour tricks showcasing how you can drive up walls and take creative shortcuts was legitimately incredible and feels like the most innovative part of Mario Kart World for me in terms of gameplay. Still excited for the game, but again, that direct didn't really show anything new

Ngl, besides learning that Versus Mode, Battle Mode, Time Trials, and Mission Mode are back, most of the information they shared in the direct were already shown in the Switch 2 direct. This direct kind of felt pointless. The remixes from the direct sounded fantastic at the very least

If I'm being honest, I'm sure Mario Kart World will sell well, but I don't know how you could reasonably convince a regular family to buy it over Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for almost the same value if you include the booster course pass

Dude... $80 for Mario Kart

Dude... $449... that's a tough pill to swallow
