Opinion time. I'm formatting my book and the "proper way" looks bad to me. With my pulp style punchy writing huge sections are indented in the book. Is this right or should I use the modern, no indent with line breaks?

I feel the same. I also have shoe boxes full of clearance pulp novels I bought just for the painted covers.

Every modern book has the same type of composite photoshop cover. I miss the Michael Whelan and Larry Elmore style art covers.
