Two weeks ago, the Eurovision Podcrawl started and we opened up by visiting 1959 for France's first hosting. The next stop on the crawl is 1967 with the @windmachinepodcast.bsky.social. you might already know them, or might be new to your ears, but the first ESC trip to Austria suits the mood!

Good songs aren't always competitive songs. Melfest has a lot of the former but it's the latter you need to do well when votes not streams are needed ( @ewanspence.co.uk )

The Eurovision Podcrawl started last week, as a wide group of ESC podcasters start a join series across all our sites to look at a country's first hosting of the Song Contest. We'll let @niallpoints.com set the scene... www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_4M...

And that's one of the podcrawl goals, for us all to have some regular Eurovision over the summer, without each site 'stretching' too much while it's quiet..

We're never quite sure what happens over the summer. Some years we keep at "full power", others we "go dark" and decompress after a busy year. This year... we're going to be enjoying the Podcrawl alongside everyone else, and take it from there.

What is the Eurovision Podcrawl? It's where the Eurovision podcast community picks a topic ("a year when a country first hosted Eurovision") and we all publish our episodes in our own styles. At the end of an episode, we'll point to the podcast with the next episode, and so on, through the summer!
