Yep. This kind of crime is endemic to San Francisco in particular but sociopathy is definitely leading the country.

Thieves broke into our car (sitting in the driveway) last night, stealing stuff valuable only to us. But it's not about $$--it's about the power to pillage anything they want. I hope they & all other sociopaths (major & minor) just like them meet medieval justice on the way to hell.

You bet! Ordered well-done burger & received a rare one. Had to cook it myself for 15 min in order to eat. Uber repeatedly fobbed me off to a special "team" with whom it was impossible to speak because app was in a broken loop. I asked for partial refund; they ignored me. Took 2.5 days, many calls!

Public Service Announcement: At all costs, avoid ordering through UberEats. Worst, most criminal violation of consumer rights I've ever experienced. Disgusting can't begin to describe it!

(2/2) Anyway, don't let that stop you from diverting yourself. I thoroughly enjoyed MURDER BY THE CLOCK, and the next few weeks are the perfect time to read it and any other Jazz Age favorites, along with copious rewatches of Cabaret.

Penzer Publisher's new edition of Rufus King's classic mystery, MURDER BY THE CLOCK, is out. I wrote the intro. It was published in 1929, right before what felt like the end of the world: the Great Depression & a fascist sociopath on his way to assuming control of a powerful country ... (1/2)
