They are violating the Clean Water Act and their permits so this is debatable. The state can make regulations for their waters. It appears this dumping is in Alaska waters not federal.

An important result from western North Carolina.

As we reported at Bolts, Moore seemed to be the establishment Democratic choiceβ€”facing a career public defenderβ€”but broadly supportive of criminal justice reform & critical of the new state law restricting bail: boltsmag.org/buncombe-cou...

RESULT: Democrats have flipped a state House seat in Arkansas.

This is their 2nd flip of a legislative seat so far in 2025 (after a Texas flip in January), & it adds to a tremendous trend that started last year, when they flipped 21% of all GOP-held seats in play: boltsmag.org/legislative-...

I substitute taught in an elementary classroom with one of these children. I cannot imagine how my, their classmates’,or their neighbors’ lives are worse for them being here.

When I was a child in the ASD I had a couple Russian clsssmates. How is this different?

Abolish DHS.

Well yes definitely something could have been done. Blue states refused and sued and they have all won in court because it’s illegal.

"Do not obey in advance" is the first rule of resistance from historian Timothy Snyder’s On Tyranny.

The USA also sent troops to Nigeria to aide the Nigerian Army against terrorists.

The Trump Regime is now policing the world so we don’t talk about the Epstein Files and his πŸ’© poll numbers.

This is what Americans get instead of basic services like healthcare, and affordable food and housing.

The Senate match-up is now set in North Carolina: Roy Cooper (D) will face Michael Whatley (R) in November.

This was very heavily expected, though Whatley had some competition in the GOP primary.

(That's also the first result that gets updated in our guide: boltsmag.org/whats-on-the...)

Research looks at economic impacts of Bethel's ice road, barge, and air traffic Researchers from the University of Alaska Anchorage are combining machine learning and community feedback to understand the ties between income and transportation accessibility in the regional hub.

"We're just looking to get a better picture of the human impact of changes in transportation accessibility, and how some of the changes in climate could be impacting people," said Matt Hegland, a researcher with UAA's College of Engineering.

I don’t think so. The DOJ contacted them about it months before and there was reporting about it. We didn’t know what she’d do or when but it wasn’t hard to guess.

Online age verification could be coming to Alaska, piggybacking on anti-CSAM bill - The Alaska Current But the bill does a whole lot more than that in the name of childrens’ safety.

As the Alaska Legislature advances a bill to crack down on AI-generated CSAM, amendments could bring online age verification and parental controls for minors’ social media accounts into state law.

Lawmakers question Alaska's decision to turn over confidential voter data to DOJ Lawmakers in the predominantly Democratic bipartisan House majority said they were concerned the state didn't push back harder on the DOJ's request.

The state turned over the voter list to the federal government in December after a series of requests from the Department of Justice.
