Just a part of a story I'm working on about a little mouse who get transformed into a sandhill crane. Excited to keep exploring this further :) #kidlit #kidlitart

Anyway, this is why live drawings are so heavily recommended to folks still learning how to draw. When you do studies from flat images, there's a lot of possible distortion that the observer may not be aware of. Observations from life are being received by that universal organ, the ol' eyeball.

I actually did change the clock in my car this year, but I'm so used to it being wrong that every time I look at it my instinct is to start doing some math

Have you ever done the thing where you don't change the clock in your car when daylight savings ends eventually it's correct again in the spring? This year I forgot to put my snow shovel back in the garage all summer so my transition into the first snow today has been seamless

Anyways Twin Cities folks hit me up if you need coil binding or stack cutting so I can justify these purchases πŸ‘€

This has been a real "if you give a mouse a cookie" situation. I bought an wire-o coil binding machine to make my own chipboard sketchbooks and then realized a stack cutter would let me make all kinds of sketchbooks....and now I'm slowly building my own printshop

After 6 months of waiting and watching on ebay I have finally found and purchased a stack paper cutter. I used it for almost 2 hours straight tonight cutting down 8 months of risograph prints. Beautiful.

A digital painting of a bell with the inscription "Edmund Fitzgerald" in the middle of blue and brown stormy waves

"The church bell chimed 'til it rang twenty-nine times, for each man on the Edmund Fitzgerald"
Thinking about this piece I made for the Light Grey Art Lab show "The End is Nigh" a few years ago as we mark the 50 year anniversary of the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald.

Seriously! If there's a piece of mine you like and want to use commercially licencing is an option. There are some images I can't resell but many I can! And it's far cheaper than custom work.

I can't speak for other artists but I'm sure many feel the same!
