Anyway, this is why live drawings are so heavily recommended to folks still learning how to draw. When you do studies from flat images, there's a lot of possible distortion that the observer may not be aware of. Observations from life are being received by that universal organ, the ol' eyeball.

This year I forgot to put my snow shovel back in the garage all summer so my transition into the first snow today has been seamless

Thinking about this piece I made for the Light Grey Art Lab show "The End is Nigh" a few years ago as we mark the 50 year anniversary of the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald.
Seriously! If there's a piece of mine you like and want to use commercially licencing is an option. There are some images I can't resell but many I can! And it's far cheaper than custom work.
I can't speak for other artists but I'm sure many feel the same!
