Where's the UKIP guy?
15.11.2025 14:03 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hold on. Is the new cycle lane just a painted line? I thought it was going to be segregated
27.03.2025 21:11 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0"Bristol pedestrians to have immediate priority over vehicles at traffic light crossings" - come on, Bristol Council: make this happen!
www.bristolpost.co.uk/news/bristol...
Sounds great. Looking forward to all these changes. Hoping they happen whilst my children are still young so they can have some independence.
07.03.2025 08:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Such a dangerous 'bike lane' and pavement. Being soaked by a muddy puddle every time it rains just adds insult to looming injury
07.03.2025 08:11 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Well I didn't choose to. Can @bristolgreenparty.bsky.social put in bollards to stop cars driving onto places where they aren't allowed to? Can they instruct traffic wardens to give tickets for illegal parking that isn't just double yellows?
06.03.2025 15:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yes and I've been to the engagements etc. Seems strange to have to wait years for a liveable neighbourhood to get rules that already exist enforced though.
06.03.2025 12:04 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0If the reason why @bristolgreenparty.bsky.social can't stop vehicles going where they shouldn't be is money... Why not let people sponsor a bollard? Or at least hold drivers accountable somehow? I would sponsor a bollard or two so we could safely move around.
06.03.2025 07:37 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oh and as we cycle round windmill hill, we'll be tailgated and beeped at by whoever drives up quickly behind us- despite the signs saying 'no through traffic'. This is less than a mile of cycling my daughter to nursery in South Bristol
06.03.2025 07:27 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0then into dame Emily park (again cargo bike doesn't fit so I have to go round). When I'm at her nursery, there will be 7 or 8 cars driven onto the now muddy bank because they want to park as close as possible
06.03.2025 07:25 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Me too. But no enforcement of traffic rules that stop cars from threatening cyclists. About to cycle my daughter through Vic park (cargo bike doesn't fit through barriers) past st Mary redcliffe prim. (Bollard removed so cars drive up) Then up east st (constant flow of traffic ignoring signs) (1/2)
06.03.2025 07:24 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Thanks! Let us know if there's anything we can do as neighbours.
02.03.2025 11:38 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thanks. Just walked by this about ten minutes ago actually and noticed! It looks a lot better. Well done! I wonder how we can stop this from happening again?
01.03.2025 13:59 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0A few more bin bags in your photo! This has been an issue for several years. Hopefully a solution can be found.
21.02.2025 23:18 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Reported it as flytipping at the start of Jan. No reply.Went through all this several years ago with different departments at bcc all saying someone else was responsible and I should contact them.Took months..I gave up. Surely it's the job of the council to do the admin and find the right person?
21.02.2025 20:17 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Still waiting for a reply about this in windmill hill... The pile is growing daily.
21.02.2025 16:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Freedom
17.02.2025 16:59 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We're all still waiting for someone to do something about East Street..
17.02.2025 11:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0 cycling proposals for temple meads look good. www.railadvent.co.uk/2025/01/plan... Now we just need a safe and direct cycle lane to get there. How about here? No cars are using it anyway...
