I think having a cross stakeholder dialogue to discuss these fundamental issues: 1. How do we create more trust in the system 2. How do we ensure sustainability of the scholarly communication enterpsise 3. How do we make scholarly communication more impactful and reachba broader audience

I think a systems approach is necessary rather than just solving it at a researcher or reviwer level. All stakeholders must realize their entanglement and that their actions affect each other as well as the process and outcomes of research. A global cross-stakeholder dialogue and initiative is need

Good point Jose. But the publishing industry is battling its problems as well. Perceived value is declining, funding is being cut, and due to the increasing scale of publishing, use of AI-generated articles, and increasing activity by paper mills, managing quality and integrity is becoming difficult
