maybe I’m biased because I like thrifting but it feels nice to give used items (within reason ofc) a second life, instead of only buying new clothes which contributes to more clothing production AND pollution

I predict the rate of thrifting [especially in the u.s.] will increase within the next year out of necessity due to the cost increases of imported products (clothes, appliances, household goods, etc). Buying 2nd hand is good in general but at a time like this it might become our best option.

While I don’t have any desire to have children in the future (hypothetically) I’d want to raise my child as a Ghibli kid. Ofc there are great older shows from pbs, cartoon network, etc., but I think Ghibli is great at teaching empathy and kindness in a way that no other kids shows or movies have.
