I've never been, but I hear you 💯. When I look at some of these saguaros, my mind is blown realizing some of them might be 500 years old. My brain: what did this place LOOK like in 1526, when this fella began to grow? I think Bristlecone needs to be a bucket list item for me!

The skeletal saguaro to the right was struck by lightning, but the five in the background are plump and healthy! Clear blue skies in the background.

This is fascinating. I honestly thought only cactus wrens (and Gila woodpeckers, flycatchers)... not rock wrens. What a fun thing to unfold in front of your window!!!

In this straight-on shot, you can't see how wonderfully long the snout is on this russet-colored mammal that looks like a mix (on the face) of red panda and raccoon.

Had a wonderfully magical experience in the Galiuro Mountains at Copper Creek.

Four #coatimundi, whose habitat is threatened by #copper mining, were in a tree sending warning vocalizations (clicky snorting). We took a quick snap, then obliged, leaving the cuties in peace.
