SO TRUE! Ha ha ha.
16.02.2026 21:54 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A small buck gets close and personal with the camera as he stoops to do his business. Lots of lush green behind it!
Look how gorgeously green it is in the Galiuro Mountains this year! This riparian area at Copper Creek is key to species survival in a desert landscape hit by ongoing periods of intense drought.
This mule #deer is doing exactly what you think! Caught pooing on #camertrap!
It's been years since we've been in Yosemite. Also Sequoia National Park. Are you a fiction reader? The Overstory has a character that is a tree -- Mimas... Oh how I LOVED that giant tree.
16.02.2026 03:29 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0You go the pro's advice! I'd go for it!
16.02.2026 03:27 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I've never been, but I hear you π―. When I look at some of these saguaros, my mind is blown realizing some of them might be 500 years old. My brain: what did this place LOOK like in 1526, when this fella began to grow? I think Bristlecone needs to be a bucket list item for me!

15.02.2026 19:45 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yeah, it was a big one. I'd say at least. Probably older.
15.02.2026 19:45 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The skeletal saguaro to the right was struck by lightning, but the five in the background are plump and healthy! Clear blue skies in the background.
Another #saguaro we lost in 2025, juxtaposed with a living, healthy group of others on our property.

15.02.2026 02:26 β π 14 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This is fascinating. I honestly thought only cactus wrens (and Gila woodpeckers, flycatchers)... not rock wrens. What a fun thing to unfold in front of your window!!!
15.02.2026 02:26 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ha ha. He IS!!!
15.02.2026 02:20 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I know. I feel... lost... We've had them here since the day we moved in...
14.02.2026 17:32 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Haha. That would be adorable.

It's #Caturday! Squeezy decided that he looks pretty darn adorable on my @mountunion.bsky.social chair. Go Purple Raiders, go Squeezy.

Yes, very polite!
14.02.2026 04:15 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Not what you generally expect on your trail cam. ha ha.

13.02.2026 16:20 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Is this a new set up/watering hole? Love the little reds.

13.02.2026 14:57 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0@markmarley.bsky.social I'm sending you a confirmation date today. PROMISE!
13.02.2026 14:28 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0In this straight-on shot, you can't see how wonderfully long the snout is on this russet-colored mammal that looks like a mix (on the face) of red panda and raccoon.
Had a wonderfully magical experience in the Galiuro Mountains at Copper Creek.
Four #coatimundi, whose habitat is threatened by #copper mining, were in a tree sending warning vocalizations (clicky snorting). We took a quick snap, then obliged, leaving the cuties in peace.
NO kidding! Zippity zippity to go with their hippity hoppity!
13.02.2026 05:54 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0They look nice and healthy!

13.02.2026 05:53 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Fingers crossed. We are, for the first time since we moved here, roadrunner-less. I don't know what happened! I'm SO SAD.
13.02.2026 05:53 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0A white-tailed deer's tail stands straight in the air like a Swiffer Duster as she runs through the brush.
Feather duster! Coues white-tailed #deer at Copper Creek in the Galiuro Mountains.
13.02.2026 05:52 β π 28 π 4 π¬ 1 π 0Hee hee. How are the critters in your neck of the woods? Did you guys get enough wet stuff to have unseasonably early wildlflower?
12.02.2026 04:20 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0A giant jackrabbit runs toward the camera, huge ears like antennae.
This jackrabbit moves to the right of the camera, in profile, showing off its black tail and black-tipped ears.
Hippity-hoppity. You can see how black-tailed #jackrabbits got their name! #cameratrap
