Up, up, and away.
Hanging out in the SAS lounge at Chicago OβHare before my flight.
Amana Colonies is a great place to visit.
They have a little bit of everything with an old German feel.
Currently in Iowa City.
Itβs changed so much since I lived here last.
Had to have dinner at Wig & Pen for old times sake.
Today I checked out Boots on the Ground at SMUUC in Lenexa, KS.
I was invigorated by the sheer number of anti Trump supporters from both parties looking for ways to help get us out of this mess. There are more of us out there than what the media is portraying. Donβt despair.
I had the opportunity to see sΓ€ge (rhymes with beige) at Folly Theater.
A vocal quartet with an acronym of the four members first names, their debut album won a 2024 Grammy Award.
Dinner at Clay & Fire.
Turkish cuisine located in a small house in the Westside neighborhood.
Sunday funday.
Today I checked out Coffee Creek Streamway Trail in South OP.
Coffee Creek is a paved shared trail between Heritage Park & Arthur & Betty Verhaeghe Park totaling 3.4 miles.
Itβs an easy paved trail if youβre looking to add to your list.

Saturday adventures.
City Center Live.
During the months of October-March, on the second Saturday of the month, Lenexa City Hall has a free performing arts series.
Tonight was Bram Wijnands Swingtet who played swing music from the 1940βs.
I spent tonight at Greenwood Social Hall listening to local artist Calvin Arsenia.
Greenwood is a renovated 98 year old church. Itβs a beautiful, intimate venue with fantastic acoustics.
If youβre in KC, I recommend attending a concert.
Sunday Funday.
Lunar New Year celebration at Lenexa Public Market.
Boycott plan. Hopefully you can see this video. It's well thought out and worth a look.

Got in a lot of steps, found some cool outdoor furniture & bedding for a future purchase.
Walked away with some locally grown creamed honey & a quart of sweet horseradish pickles.
Dinner at Noka.
Fabulous rustic Japanese inspired cuisine.
I had a Kumquat to drink, California Crunch Roll & Nightmarket Chicken Wings for my main, & Togarishi spiced brownie for dessert.
Donβt forget to order the edamame toast. Such a fantastic flavor combination.
Tonight I attended a free stage reading of Smoke.
Playing at Cophagen Stage it explores the themes of family, identity, & resilience.
Itβs beautifully written.
