Some good things today: a successful viva, some reading done, an old friend spotted in the UL tea room.

Much that is doing my head in on bluesky, so I'm going to log off again. Lent starts tomorrow so seems a good time.

I asked Jacqui Smith last year what other models she was looking at to avoid getting stuck in thinking the US and Australia are the only ways of running a higher education sector.

One of these universities is my former employer. What makes me really angry here is that everyone worked really hard in the face of completely unprecedented circumstances to run courses. Students shouldn’t have a case in that context.

I know Tom and I am very surprised he's done this to put it mildly.

This is what happens when 'treasure' can't be bought by a museum - the hoard has been broken up into individual auction lots & will disappear into many different hands, some overseas.

When do we start saying enough is enough??
