Long day! Glad to be there with everyone.

Faculty across campus are outraged by these short-sighted cuts of essential units at UNL. Graduate programs in most units are also being decimated. We are losing a generation of scientists, scholars, designers, artists, and others. Some are losing everything but all Nebraskans lose with these cuts.

This situation is certainly not the fault of the faculty. Administrators and elected officials shut us out of the process and colossally failed our state. The APC hearings and Friday’s meeting testimony do not equal shared governance. All Nebraskans lose with these cuts.

Join us in Kearney on Wednesday for a discussion on tree-planting, fire, how world view shapes environmental policy, loving the land where you live, and how these ideas shape my artistic process.

Senator Megan Hunt is a very important voice in our increasingly conservative state legislature. She's an Independent who speaks truth to power on this subject and others, but anti-trans legisltion effects her personally and her testimony is especially powerful.
