525,600 minutes.
Can't believe it's been a year already.
"How do you measure the life of a woman or man?" I've thought a lot about this lyric the past 12 months.
As the song says, how about we measure a year in love.
If so, so much of it.
That was a definite career highlight! For me, if not for the rest of the team π€£

June 2024, Manchester: "Today we can lay a new foundation of stability."
Less than two years later: is the PM's own job stable?
Interested to find out on BBC Breakfast if the Westminster drama is even on the radar of people here.
Oh and I know we're not doing the 2016 throwbacks any more, but this was actually my first appearance on screen.
The less said about this the better. I'm sure Nina Warhurst agrees.
I'm going to be setting the alarms a bit more regularly for a few weeks.
I wish Mum were here to see it, but she got to sit on the sofa and I got to tell her that Mike Bushell and Carol Kirkwood were even lovelier in real life.
Ten years and counting!
It is a privilege to, years later, pop up on the show now and then.
A shaky post-Eurovision cameo led to some rambly live slots from the Isle of Wight.
And now, I sometimes get to follow in Declan Curryβs footsteps.
My fave part of the office is a picture of Jeremy Bowen and Sophie Raworth.
I grew up without a TV, but when we could finally afford one I became obsessed with the box.
I vividly remember getting up early in Oct 2000 to see the launch of BBC Breakfast.
Ten years of day shifts, night shifts, early shifts, planning shifts, producer shifts, reporter shifts, presenter shifts.
I can't say it hasn't been varied.
I've written an interview brief for a former US President but I've also held umbrellas and cleaned rugs.
Ten years and counting. A (brief-ish) personal thread.
Last week marked my ten-year BBC work anniversary.
As baby-faced and hairier-faced Peters of the past suggest: it was always a dream to work here. I still pinch myself on a very regular basis.
Oooooh I haven't had the banana one in yonks!

So many fabulous messages from our amazing BBC Breakfast viewers!
Lots of food I want to try, or wish I'd been around for!
Number one? Gail mentioned what she calls "a 1970s family favourite: Kunzle Showboats. They were a real treat! Totally melt in the month!"
...in fact: I managed to grab some footage of Charlie's reaction.
Justice for Barp's Mars bar sauce!
Charlie and Naga were kind enough to allow me to sit on the famous red sofa and have a mouthful...
...however, the eagle-eyed among you will have noticed Charlie and Naga didn't indulge...
"Spotted dick, can I tempt you in that?"
I had to bring out my - well, my Mum's - Friday night special!
Tinned pears and Mars bar sauce!
We were talking about the return of foods - like corned beef, school cake and crispy pancakes - that take us right back!
Misty-eyed menus or retro recipes!
"That's why you're wrong."
I felt a bit bad being so brutal to our Naga on BBC Breakfast this week, but some things - like butterscotch Angel Delight - are worth defending.
Oh dear.

Findus Crispy Pancake anyone?! Pink custard?!
Apparently, we're having a nostalgic nosh fest: buying old school food and rating retro recipes!
I want to know for BBC Breakfast: what is your favourite meal from back in the day?
I might make mine for Charlie and Naga!

I really struggled to get into journalism and the media.
I worry things are harder now.
So, this is brilliant.

Paid, four-week placements here in Salford.
Share far and wide!
Sadly, she was no longer able to tell us the full story of how she'd come to have it either.
But we played her some Kinks music and she was happy.
Glad it's on a wall on display now.
Do that thing you've been meaning to do. Have that conversation you've been meaning to have.
Mum had this signed Kinks drum head in a plastic bag for years. It was going to get framed "at some point".
When she became unwell, I framed it. But it was too late for her to enjoy it.
Kudos to super producer Marta for sourcing comment from sauna (and Eurovision) legends...KAJ!
Keep calm and sauna on!
I FEEL BETTER!
I don't ever lie on BBC Breakfast, but this might have been a slight exaggeration!
Contrast therapy π€£
Sauna? Yes! Cold water? No!
Not had to pack this for a BBC Breakfast broadcast before...π€
