Nah thats not what im getting from this. Despite the memes about apes, crypto has been wildy successful for way for rich people to stay rich and pass around money.

What their actuslly doing is saying "which people are awesome" and using race to make such a statement seem virtuous.

If the action was being done systemically across the industry, sure. They aren't the only ones doing what they do.

Targeting them alone also would negstively effect a bunch of services Americans use.

I do think some of them are very aware of that kind of player at least! Watching trailers for them, there's at least a few seconds of highlights dedicated to showing off the various levels of customization within houses and the town.

Though obviously some of them have none of it too.

I watched this trailer this morning, and outside of the vampire/monster themes, for someone ignorant to the genre(me) it seems indistinguishable from it's contemporaries.

So I'm super curious what someone who does actually enjoy these games, sees when trailers like this come out!

Do gamers who like the "cozy" life-sim genre of game, tend to play more than one of them or do you just find one really good one and play it forever?

I guess im less negative about it, cause I've just always assumed ignorance was the default state for most people, lol.

And through it all, life still finds a way!

The coffee thing is actually the whole point really.

They dont want their servers to have opinions or rights. They just want them to serve.

I'd like to think stuff like that is why the "consultant" profession was so important.

But that kinda makes the 2026 landscape scarier in retrospect. Everything is automated now in ways that cant be navigated...
