As a care giver I get so sick of people asking me about my mom. Even my convos w/ my sister always end w/ us discussing her. This is not a role that I even want. I’m doing it purely out of love but I also refuse to allow this role to consume me.

I just needed to share this some place safe!

Tonight was my holiday party at work. My bestie came in town to be my plus one. We got mf wasted.

My coworkers are now texting me to meet them at a bar across the street. I am mf done. I don’t want to see another drink until next year.

That’s the one. Dad for me though.

I’m really proud of us both!

I was supposed to be a revival tonight BUT I streamed the noon service. That counts right? Mama is tired!

They’re still top 5 in my eyes though. 😂😂

I will never forget seeing one of my favorite bands perform (last year) and Angie’s baby daddy started singing lead on Beauty. Everyone had their phones out to record and when he started singing one by one you saw people put their phones down. It still tickles me just thinking about it.

We don’t talk about the movie The Inkwell enough. The cast is truly superb.

I go to Homegoods,TJ Maxx, Marshall’s & Ross EVERY week. Sometimes multiple locations. I go for the vibes & buy whatever I feel like is a steal that I can’t pass up! Horrible habit, I know.

However, this month I over did it. My goal is to not step foot in any of them during the month of October.

God has never failed me. I thank him for all of the storms and all of the lessons learned. Grief has shaped me in ways I never would’ve imagined but yet I’m still standing. I’m also ready to enter the soft era of my life.

Are you even black if you don’t ask, “what’s the colors?” when somebody mentions going to a funeral?

I was going to surprise my boyfriend & nephew with 2K26. I thought it was like $35 and it’s not. 😂 This is how much y’all are paying for video games?? I’ll pass.

That movie is still so trippy to me. I watch it every few years and I’m still wowed at how brilliant it was.
