GameGear plugged into tv via HDMI
HDMI port
HDMI holder with routing under for battery terminals
ASIC soldering, nice and easy!
Built up a GameGear over the weekend with one of those fancy SYF replacement boards, along with the new GGHD BennVenn kit. Really liking the HDMI port print's fitment: it even has I'm just enough clearance to snake around the wiring for batteries!
04.02.2025 11:44 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Lots of fun projects floating around in my head for this year; hoping to share one of them in the next month or two! I've got lots of incredibly stupid ideas I can't wait to put into the world lol

It's unfortunate that this kit is unobtainable these days; I always wanted to get 4 set up for Zelda 4 Swords. Oh well, one day I'll have to look into the new fancy kits they use these days!
23.12.2024 14:34 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Close up of the CPU Flex Cable install of a Gameboy Advance Consolizer
A closed up Gameboy Advance Consolizer
The GBA Consolizer was one of my first "difficult" installs many, many years ago. When I went to use it last night, I found it wouldn't stay on for more than a second. When I opened it up and saw how nasty the solder joints were on everything, I just went ahead and did a full reflow!
23.12.2024 14:34 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I guess additional info; this is from a NESessity board (v3 I believe; made it years ago) that lived in a yellowed, cracked case in the workshop for years, had NESRGB and everything but didn't exactly look nice on a shelf.
It still doesn't look pretty as a toaster but at least it's funny now lmao
I meant to post those game cart storage things a few weeks ago but I got distracted; couldn't stop thinking about making a Nintoaster.
Anyways, here's my Nintoaster
(Video in reply)
Wonderswan, Lynx (including ledges to have clearance for the ones with the curved lip), TG16, Neo Geo Pocket, etc etc. Finally got a decent color printer at a good price and was able to see if they fit with art inserts so I'll post these free either tomorrow night or the next!
25.11.2024 07:30 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Finally about to put a project I started around this time year to rest; custom inserts for as many handhelds as I could think of for those cassette case displays! I think everyone's seen Gameboy games in them but you can fit so much more!
25.11.2024 07:30 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 1Not a bad idea; may give that a shot as well after! That's been my experience; my hands cramp up trying to punch the tiny thing as it comes stock lol
23.11.2024 13:19 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I'm loving the #BeybladeX Sword launcher so far, but the handle isn't the best. Working on a simple grip that latches onto the ripcord; it needs a few tweaks but it's coming together!
21.11.2024 17:17 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0The boys and I finally got to try out the #BeybladeX motorized stadium; this thing is equal parts fun and terrifying. Bey's flew out of the stadium on three different occasions, it was great.
15.11.2024 09:23 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Electronics repairing tip of the day! Plz repost!
Friends, hot-air exists for a reason! If you want to be efficient & make short work of surface mount components, you MUST master hot air!
Don't bother with hot/soldering tweezers. That's the worst tool that we have in toolbox!
Have fun!
Please share and repost this video tip and I'll keep dropping these!
Want to remove rust from your video game hardware?
Make short work of surface rust with an inexpensive ultrasonic cleaner and white vinegar!
Finish it off with a rust inhibitor, and you're all set!
Thank you, friends!
My friends, let's share soldering iron secrets and let's share our knowledge of consoles mods! I've created a Console Modding Starter Pack for anyone and everyone who loves console modding! Please, enjoy!

24.10.2024 22:48 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Finally have my free .stl's for my custom #beyblade X storage case inserts posted! Included in the description is a detailed guide on the case cutting process (Fully optional, but allows you to store them fully assembled) as well as a direct link to the case I bought off Amazon. Enjoy!
24.10.2024 22:47 โ ๐ 20 ๐ 3 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I'm mildly surprised Analogue's still got a few slots for Analogue 3D preorder still up; I guess they've figured out the batch size they should be going for finally. I'm still going to wait for the inevitable 3rd batch with Funtastic colours tho lol
22.10.2024 06:35 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Been working on a storage solution for my #beyblade X beys using a super cheap tool storage box you can get on Amazon for like $20 and some custom 3D printed inserts. I need to tweek the bottom tip storage inserts (undersized a bit) but once I'm happy w/ it, I'll be releasing the .stl's for free!
